Plug Power Inc (PLUG) announced that the company intends to install two GenSite(TM) hydrogen generators under two recently awarded programs sponsored by the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA). Plug Power will partner with award winner American Honda Motor Co., Inc., Air Products and Chemicals Inc (APD) and Homeland Energy to provide the refueling infrastructure necessary for fuel cell vehicles, including two Honda FCX's recently leased by the State of New York.

ENER1 INC (ENEI) announced it has signed letters of intent to acquire Giner Electrochemical Systems, LLC (GES), a privately held company located in Newton, Massachusetts, that specializes in the development of fuel cell technologies and products. GES is currently owned by Giner, Inc. and General Motors Corp.(GM). GES will maintain its existing GM multi-year contracts (totaling several million dollars) and its broad research and development relationship with GM going forward.

Hydrogenics Corp (HYGS) announced that it has been successful in its offer to acquire Stuart Energy Systems Corp (SRNYF). 31,382,226 Stuart Energy shares, representing approximately 86% of the issued and outstanding Stuart Energy shares (80% on a fully diluted basis), have been deposited to the Offer. Plug Power Inc (PLUG) announced today a contract award to provide on-site hydrogen generation to The Detroit Edison Company's Saint Clair Power Plant. The hydrogen will be used to provide cooling to six generator units currently in operation at the Saint Clair facility. Under the terms of the contract, Plug Power will install a GenSite(TM) hydrogen generator at the St. Clair Power Plant located in East China, Michigan. Astris Energi Inc. (ASRNF) announced today that it had completed work on Freedom II, its second-generation golf car. The new, faster golf car is powered by Astris' recently completed 1.8kW, Model E7 AFC Generator, which gives Freedom II double the power and double the acceleration of the original model which was the world's first alkaline fuel cell powered golf car using hydrogen.
